In the 1980s, a decorated soldier, Wu Moumou, was assigned a mysterious mission by the state: under the alias of Cao Cang, he participated in a physical experiment in cooperation with the United States and China. The purpose of this experiment is to try to enter another dimension - the alien sea. As the joint experiment unfolds in the mysterious sea, a series of strange and thrilling situations continue to occur, and the Soviet Union has sent a nuclear submarine to follow the joint research team into the sea. The researchers of the three countries, faced with the strange sea, had to choose to cooperate with each other, but each of them had their own agenda, secretly seeking their own country's best interests. As the researchers develop friendship and prepare to complete their experiments together, they realize that someone else has already gone ahead of them. More mysterious events are slowly emerging: the Doomsday Dawn Project, the Lop Nor Experiment, and the Pengamu Disappearance Incident.
